Adjusting new projects to meet the provisions of the Informatics Law, an incentive is created for software technology development, from the formal supporting mechanisms it provides for scientific and technological development. CITS is also a Regional Agent of the Association for Promotion of the Brazilian Software Excellency - SOFTEX, chartered to provide operational support to the regional Software companies, by articulating with private companies, state and city governments and educational and fostering institutions. CITS objectives, under this role, are to help the regional Software companies to reach the goals set forth by SOFTEX for the software section entrusted to CITS.
