CURSOS DE PROCESSO EM MONTAGEM ELETRONICA (J-STD-001D)

The J-STD-001 "Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies" has emerged as the preeminent authority for electronics assembly manufacturing. The standard describes materials, methods and verification criteria for producing high quality soldered interconnections. Now, IPC has a comprehensive, hands-on-solder training program based on J-STD-001 that gives companies all the tools they need to increase employee skills and performance.

The new IPC J-STD-001 Operator Proficiency course is modularized to allow companies maximum flexibility in training their operators.

TOPICS COVERED IN TRAINING COURSE

  • Instructional skills and the roles and responsibilities of IPC Specialist.
  • General requirements, such as safety, tools and electrostatic discharge (ESD).
  • Wire and terminal assembly requirements, demonstrations and laboratory.
  • Through hole technology requirements, demonstrations and laboratory.
  • Surface mount technology requirements, demonstrations and laboratory.
  • General soldered connection acceptance requirements. NOW INCLUDED LEAD FREE.
  • Machine and reflow soldering process requirements.
  • Test methods and related standards.
  • Using statistical process control methodology.

The Operator Proficiency program consists of five, eight-hour modules:

Module 1: This module is an introduction and overview to the entire contents of J-STD-001 and is a prerequisite to any of the following four technical specific modules. Module 1 consists of lecture, review, and an open and closed book written exam.

Module 2: This module provides requirements for wires and terminals applications; consisting of lecture, review, Instructor demonstration of preparing and soldering wires to turret, bifurcated, J hook, pierced, and cup terminals, student practice and demonstration of proficiency in preparing and soldering wires to terminals, and an open book written exam.

Module 3: This module provides requirements for Through Hole Technology; consisting of lecture, review, instructor demonstration of preparing and soldering through hole components to a PCB, student practice and demonstration of proficiency in preparing and soldering through hole components to a PCB, and an open book written exam.

Module 4: This module provides requirements for Surface Mount Technology; consisting of lecture, review, instructor demonstration of preparing and soldering surface mounted devices to a PCB, student practice and demonstration of proficiency in preparing and soldering surface mounted devices to a PCB, and an open book written exam.

Module 5: This module provides requirements for Inspection Methodology, and a basic introduction to Process Control. Module 5 consists of lecture, review, an inspection skills lab (students will inspect and document using Table 11-1 of J-STD-001D various hardware with known defects), and an open book written exam.

All written exam grades for Modules completed will be averaged together. The minimum score for successful completion is 70%. The minimum score for each lab completed is 70%.

Each student who successfully completes the course will receive an IPC J-STD-001 Operator Certificate of Proficiency.

Upon completion of the IPC J-STD-001 course, Specialist are certified for two years. At that time Specialist will need to attend a recertification course to maintain IPC certification
